I used to think Poetry would never evolve until I evolved as a poet.

If I had to choose somebody to save the world,
I'll be damned if the answer wasn't a Black Womxn.
However, Black Womxn deserve to save themselves, first.
Imagine a world where rest is a requirement.
This is an invitation to reflect on motion
and its relationship to Black Womxn and to consider
where there is room to serve, sacrifice or surrender.
